In the fiercely competitive world of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), a drama unfolds as Hashicorp turns its back on Open Source. This results in an immediate fork to Terraform, the dominant cross-cloud IAC tool. The OpenTofu project is created in an effort to provide an Open Source alternative that supports Terraform’s ingenious way of managing cloud infrastructure.

In recent months, I've been working more and more with Terraform, deploying to multiple cloud providers and even combining it with Serverless projects (more on that on the next post).
