Transitioning to the latest technologies is essential for maintaining robust and efficient serverless applications. With AWS deprecating the older Lambda Golang (go1.x) runtime, it’s critical to move to the more advanced Amazon Linux 2 (provided.al2) runtime. This migration promises enhanced performance, potential cost savings due to the support for the arm64 architecture, and a longer-term support strategy.

Today, I’m excited to share a Bash script that fills this gap. It organizes your songs into albums, shuffles those albums, and seamlessly integrates this new playlist back into CMUS.
