Impressions from Facebook Graph Search
Facebook Graph Search was just enabled on my Facebook account.
The top my Facebook page kinda looks like Google now:![]()
With a huge Search field, that's suppose to let you find everything (sounds familiar?).
The searches could be very well refined![]()
This search DID return results, for some reason..
But these could be a LOT more refined, to a scary extent:
After a few checks it seems that Facebook has yet to index
everyone, and so you can't really search everyone on this.
However, a few nice experiments can definitely be done, such as:
Should we be expecting to get contacted by strangers just because of similar interests?
Facebook has trained us rather well that everyone who contacts us, and is not a friend/someone we know, is evil/spammer.
This sort of attitude towards strangers is basically built into Facebook, that's why the entire website revolves around your friends.
