About 2 weeks ago, we've started playing cards at a bar.
We tried to think of a cool game we can play, I started thinking and as we went along
made up a game on my own.
The first attempt was to recall an already existing game,
but due to the fact that my memory is not that good for card game rules.
I've made up my own rules, and ever since then we've been playing this cool game.

The Setup:

Everyone gets 8-12 cards (depends on how long you want the game to last),
and one card is revealed to start the game.

The rules:

  • You can only put a higher card of the same type of the current card [hearts, diamonds, etc.] or the same card at a different type (or the same type if you're playing with 2 decks).
  • If you don't have a fitting card to put, you have to take one card.
  • Aces are high

There are special cards:

  • The "2" card, you can put it whenever you want as long as it's the same type as the current card
  • The "7" card is a "transparent card", you can put it whenever you want and on every card and every type, the next player keeps playing as if no card was put (if there's a queen of hearts, and then a 7, you have to put something higher than the queen... or another queen)
  • The "8" card skips the next player's turn (can only be used when it's the same type and higher than the last card of course, or another 8 was already there... as usual).
  • The Jack card can change colors, you can put the Jack card on every type as long as it is higher than the current card.. After the Jack you have to put something higher form the color the player chose (unless you have a "2"/"7".....)
  • The Joker card can be any card you want to choose it to be (as long as you can put it, so can't just make up a "5 diamond" if there's a king on the deck.

The Winner:

Whoever gets rid of his cards wins

Example Scenerios:

D = Diamonds
C = Clubs
H = Hearts
S = Spades

10(D) -> Jack(S)
You can put Jack of Spades on any other kind of card as long as it's not higher than Jack.
After a player puts Jack(D) and says he wants the cards to be Spades, you can put
Jack(Any)/2(S)/Queen(S)/King(S)/Ace(S)/7(Any)

King(H)->2(H)
You can put "2" at any moment, as long as it's the same type of card

Ace(S)->7(D)
You can put any "7" at any time, but the next player will play as if the top card is Ace(S).
